Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize. ( Phil 3: 13-14)

I had a dream this week in two parts that dealt with leaving the past behind. Because of this the message to me was two fold.

In the first part I got up and left my past. I make a conscience decision to change the things that released me to go forward.

However, in the second segment of my dream, the angels of the Lord sovereignty cut me off from my past and buried it so I was unable to return to it.

We all have a past. That’s what we build our life out of. It’s where our character was formed and our heavenly calling clarified. Yet Paul tells us not to live there, continuing to revisit each memory. But, on the contrary, we are to press forward to a goal, which Paul calls “ The Prize”.

I encourage you today to make a move. Get up and go forward in God’s plan for your life. Reach for the passions that God has put in your heart to do.

I would suggest to you that we will never receive the prize that God has for us until we press forward in that which God has called us to.

Be Blessed,

George Watkins
