The Light of the world is still Jesus

The Light Of The World Is STILL Jesus

Regardless of what you may be hearing from your local university or News outlet. And contrary to the popular opinion of the culture that surrounds us.

Jesus is still the light of the world.

This is important to remember as we enter this new year of great opportunities. Jesus is not the brightest light in the world, competing with other lesser lights. He is the only light in this world.

When Jesus said, “ I am the light of the world”. He was describing the purpose of His mission from heaven to earth. Which was to bring the light and the glory of heaven to a dark and dieing world.

The scriptures tell us in Matt 4:16, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned”.

At this Christmas Season and through out this new year, you and I not only reflect the light of heaven. We are the light of heaven on this earth.

The plan of our heavenly Father was always to have sons and daughters like Himself. ( Gen 1:26-27) The very purpose of Jesus coming in the manger was to be the first born of many sons.

Because of this, you and I who are believers and receivers of His redeeming grace now live post-resurrection and ascension. We are now possessors of that heavenly light. Because that true light that came down from heaven now lives in us.

When Jesus set forth the by-laws for this present and active Kingdom of God. He declared in Matt 5:14 that those who He was describing as members of this Kingdom are “ the light of the world”.

He goes on to say that we are a city on a hill. And, this light, you and I who believe and receive the true message of Christmas, give light to all who are in the house.

In Matt 5: 16 Jesus give us our mission and our marching orders for this life. “ Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

A few days ago the Holy Spirit dropped this into my spirit.

“ A miracle is the revelation of God’s preparation”

When we hear the story of the first Christmas we are reminded of God’s preparation ahead of time.  We know that the preparation started even before the foundations of the world.

Because of that preparation, you and I can now receive the miracle of salvation and the supernatural gift of new life.

Be prepared this year to share your light with those around you, so that all will see the Glory and the Light of the Father.

We bless you and pray daily for your success and prosperity. Let us know what God is doing in your life so that we can rejoice together.

Kingdom blessings through out this New Year,

George and Arlis Watkins
